GOSPEL IN LIFE:
This charity embodies Rick's deepest conviction: that the love of God transforms everything. It is only by the love of God that we will see healing in ourselves in our societies, and experience the fullness of joy and life that God intended for us to have.
In the last 3 years, Rick and Soozie were encouraged by hundreds of sermons preached by pastor Tim Keller, who founded 'Gospel in Life'.
Rick was especially impressed by several of Keller's books; as Rick lost the ability to speak, he often recommended several of these books as proxies for the nuanced and articulate expressions of faith that he longed to voice.
We highly recommend them to you. A few of Rick's favourites are:

This charity provides wheelchairs to children in need around the world.
In addition, the founder, Joni Erickson Tada, who is a quadriplegic, provided daily meditations based on the Bible that Rick and Soozie listened to every evening.
