"Where there is cover, there is game"

I met Rick at Trinity Baptist Church in New Haven when I was a PhD student. Rick and Soozie were very welcoming to me and a real blessing and encouragement throughout the (difficult) PhD years. I enjoyed talking to Rick when I met him at church and at Rivendell. I remember his love for Jesus and his desire for the salvation of souls. I was really blessed to know him and to be shaped by him towards Christ. Funnily enough, I remember Rick often as once when I was struggling with my PhD thesis he said "where there is cover, there is game" to me. I remember that moment pretty much every time I struggle solving a problem or understanding something, which happens quite often. I was blessed to know Rick and I am looking forward to meeting him again at Jesus' banquet (Isaiah 25:6-9)
